To our Christmas tree.This afternoon we had our department end-of-year celebration happy hour. My manager has been our interim leader in the 10-ish weeks we lacked a director. To wrap up her stint as fearless leader, she organized said happy hour and gifted each of us with "awards of awesomeness" and Christmas ornaments. She decided in honor of our awesome year as a department that we all needed commemorative 2011 ornaments. I concur.
And our new director, who is lovely, gifted us each with a bottle of wine from her wine clubs. (Note the plural. The woman belongs to multiple wine clubs; I love her already.) All in all, a good day of additions to the holiday season.
